Malta

Why Malta works for conferences

Malta solves several things at once. English is an official language, so everything on the ground runs smoothly. The island is small and dense – short transfers and no wasted time between meeting, dinner and activity. You're inside the EU on the euro, so no currency hassle. And the season is long: when autumn has set in back home in Sweden, it's still swimming and outdoor-dining weather here. Add a mix of old fortified towns, clear blue sea and neighbouring islands a boat ride away, and you have a destination that suits both work sessions and reward.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Malta

Most groups stay in St Julian's or Sliema, where hotels, restaurants and nightlife sit together and Valletta is just a short transfer away. Hilton Malta, InterContinental Malta and The Westin Dragonara are among the island's most capable conference hotels, with space for larger parties and the sea right there. For somewhere with more atmosphere, The Phoenicia sits just outside Valletta's city walls. If you need specific meeting venues or a dinner spot with a view, we arrange it through our contacts on the ground.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Malta

Malta is made for outdoor programmes. A classic is the boat trip to the Blue Lagoon off Comino, where the water turns turquoise and time slows for a while. A full day on the sister island of Gozo, with a jeep tour and lunch, brings a change of scene and nature. Back on Malta, an evening in Mdina, the silent medieval city, is the kind of thing that sticks – ideally with dinner inside the walls. We build the programme around your group, from calm and close to nature to fast-paced on the water.
