    Season

Gdansk gives you the Baltic coast and a genuinely beautiful old town in the same trip, at a price level Western Europe cannot match. An hour and a half from Stockholm, with a compact centre the group can walk end to end, and Sopot's beach and pier fifteen minutes up the coast when the programme needs a change of scene.

Why Gdansk works for conferences

Gdansk is the destination that surprises people who expected a generic Eastern European city. The old town survived the war intact in spirit even where it had to be rebuilt, and the result is a genuinely handsome centre at a price that leaves real room in the budget. Add Sopot's beach fifteen minutes away and you get a trip that covers both a working conference and a proper evening by the water, without needing two separate bases.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Gdansk

Puro Gdansk is our regular choice inside the old town – a design hotel a few minutes' walk from the main square, with meeting rooms in house and a standard that consistently surprises groups who expect something more basic. For a trip that wants a beach as much as a city, Sopot is fifteen minutes up the coast, with hotels that put the sea and the pier outside the door instead of the market square.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Gdansk

A walk down Ulica Długa takes the group past the merchant houses and the Neptune Fountain in twenty minutes, and works as an easy first orientation on arrival. The Crane on the waterfront and the amber workshops nearby give the city its own angle – Gdansk has traded Baltic amber for centuries, and a workshop visit turns into a souvenir the group actually made. Sopot's pier, the longest wooden one in Europe, is worth the short trip up the coast for an evening walk before dinner.
