Why Brussels works for conferences

Brussels is built for meetings and it shows. The city hosts conferences daily, so venues, transfers and service work without you having to watch them. Two hours from Stockholm, with Bruges and Antwerp both under an hour by train when the programme needs a change of scene. Add beer, chocolate and a food scene better than its reputation, and you have a destination that delivers more than it promises.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Brussels

Because Brussels runs on conferences, the hotels are set up for them properly. The Hotel Brussels has the capacity for larger groups with meeting floors and views over the city. Radisson Collection Grand Place puts you a minute from the square with facilities in house. Hotel Amigo is the one with real character, a converted prison behind the Grand Place, and better suited to a smaller senior group. Rates drop noticeably when the EU institutions are on recess, which is worth planning around.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Brussels

Belgium does two things better than anyone and both make good group activities. A guided beer tasting works through styles most people didn't know existed, and it beats a bar tab as a way to fill an evening. A chocolate workshop puts everyone at a bench making their own, which sounds soft and consistently turns competitive. For a half day out, Bruges is an hour by train and the whole centre is walkable. Dinner is easy here – Brussels takes food more seriously than its reputation suggests.

FAQ

FAQ

What's included in a Way trip?

We handle the whole thing: flights, accommodation, meeting venue, activities, transfers and project management, with on-site support during the trip.

What does a conference trip to Brussels cost?

Prices start at around SEK 12,000 per person and depend on group size, accommodation, season and how much programme you want. We build a quote around your setup.

How long is the flight to Brussels?

About 2 hours by direct flight from Stockholm.

How far is it from the airport?

About 25–30 minutes by transfer from Brussels Airport to the centre. Charleroi is further out, around an hour, so the airport matters when the schedule is tight.

When is the best time for a conference in Brussels?

April to October. Hotel rates and availability are better outside the main EU sitting weeks, so there is usually money to be saved by moving the dates slightly.
