Athens gives you two trips in one: a buzzing capital and the Mediterranean coast, half an hour apart. Great value, sun from spring to autumn, and easy to shape into a conference that both delivers and feels like a reward. We handle the logistics.

Clients who choose Way

Athens

Why Athens works for conferences

Athens is one of the few places where you can run an efficient conference in the city and still spend a couple of days by the sea, without changing destination. Prices stay friendly compared with many European capitals, so the budget stretches further, toward better hotels or an extra experience. The season is long: from April to October the weather is dependable. Add short distances, direct flights and a city used to handling groups, and you have a trip that's as easy to justify internally as it is to run.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Athens

We pick accommodation around what the group is after. To stay in the heart of the city, Stanley Hotel is a favourite – a sharp hotel with a rooftop that's hard to beat, looking out over the Acropolis with a pool bar in the evening sun. For a resort feel at a lower price, you stay on the coast at Hotel Amarilia, with the sea on your doorstep and the city within reach. Both work for meetings, and if you need larger or more specific venues, we arrange it on the ground through our local contacts.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Athens

This is where Athens steps up. Take the high-speed catamaran out to Aegina, the island known for its pistachios, for a day away from the city. Back on the mainland, an ouzo tasting earns its place – a relaxed introduction to Greek drinking culture that works as well for mingling as for a set activity. And for something no one forgets: your own Olympic games in the Panathenaic Stadium, the marble arena where the modern Olympics were born. We build the programme around your group, from the easygoing to the seriously competitive.
