Budapest gives you a grand European capital at prices that leave room for the programme. Two and a half hours from Stockholm, walkable, and split by the Danube into two halves that feel like different cities. We handle flights, hotels, venues and programme.

Why Budapest works for conferences

Budapest is a grand capital at half the price of Western Europe. Two and a half hours by air, a walkable centre, and the Danube splitting the city into two halves with quite different characters. The price level stretches the budget to better hotels and more programme than you had planned for. Add nineteenth-century bathhouses, ruin bars and the city that invented escape rooms, and there is no shortage of content outside the meeting room.

Stay & venues

Hotels and meeting venues in Budapest

Budapest buys you more hotel than most European capitals. Kempinski Hotel Corvinus sits by Deak Square with meeting rooms in house and everything within walking distance. Continental Hotel Budapest is the solid mid-range option with a rooftop pool and space for a whole group. Aria Hotel is the one with character, built around a music theme and better suited to smaller groups. If the conference needs a venue outside the hotel, the city has plenty of them at rates that would be impossible further west.

Activities

Activities and dinners in Budapest

The Danube runs through the middle of the programme. An evening cruise past the Parliament and the Chain Bridge is the shortest route to a group deciding the trip was worth it. The Szechenyi thermal baths are the other thing people remember – a nineteenth-century bathhouse the size of a palace, best late afternoon. Escape rooms started here and the city still does them better than anywhere, which makes them a real team exercise rather than a filler. Evenings usually end in the ruin bars of the seventh district.
